THE WAY BACK - AUSTIN
Our Walker’s Table at The Wayback was the most unique and successful pairing dinner we have hosted in Texas yet! A fourteen attendee guestlist was curated not only for a full dinner and whisky tasting, but for an entire evening retreat in the gorgeous hill country near Austin, TX. One of our guests, Jennifer Birin, who writes for City Lifestyle Magazine has written up her experience in the upcoming November issue which can be found on page 8. I reached out to extend the invite myself and she loved the experience so much she’s asked to use our photos in her upcoming Instagram post for things to do in the fall. Citylife Magazine has a 25k following on their Instagram alone. Another guest influencer comes from a popular account called @the_whisky_boys and @atxdrinker, they posted about our dinner and captured a total of 37k views from their pages. Also in attendance were key trade from the top JW and whisky accounts in the city (Swift’s Attic, Kinfolk, Roosevelt Room, Hotel Zaza) and key distributor managers as well our Texas On Premise manager for Diageo. The evening took place in their garden with a fully curated dinner menu with a cocktail pairing and of course a full whisky tasting of High Rye, Black Label, Gold and Blue. Our gift bags included JW branded dominoes and a one-of-a-kind labeled bottle of either High Rye or Black Label. Each guest was hosted in their own private cabin for the evening. The evening concluded with cigars by the fire and access to explore the beautiful grounds and salt water pool. As far as luxury and truly authentic experiences go, this Walker’s Table was unlike any other.
